There are two airports serving Belfast there is Belfast International Airport and George Best Belfast City Airport. Belfast City in nearer to the city centre whilst Belfast International is about twenty minutes drive away. Both airports have adequate public transport between them making it easy to get to and from the airports
Belfast flights between the UK generally fly into Belfast City Airport whilst most of the European ones use Belfast International Airport. There are however some domestic flights between the UK and Belfast.
Toronto flights to Belfast, flights to Cancun, Vancouver and Orlando are all routes available direct from Belfast International Airport with airlines such as Fly Globespan, Continental Airlines and low cost transatlantic airline Zoom.
Without the arrival of the low cost carries the flight destinations from Belfast would not have grown so fast. You can even get a Belfast flight from Blackpool saving you a lot of hassle rather than having to take a ferry.
If you are travelling on a flight to Belfast it would be a good idea to check and see if the flight route you require is served by both Belfast Airports. A good example of this would be a Belfast flight from Blackpool, which is served by two airlines and one has flights into Belfast City and the other goes into Belfast International. London Flights to Belfast offer even more options and combinations as you can fly from both Belfast Airports and get a flight to more than one London Airport.
The choice of flight you get is up to you and there is nothing stopping you getting a flight from Cardiff to Belfast City with Flybe and a flight back to Cardiff from Belfast International with Bmibaby.

No longer do you have to waste time travelling via Manchester or London and wait for a connecting flight. You can now get a direct flight giving you more time enjoying a new city.
