Another wonderful gay area that however not part of Barcelona is is the town called Sitges that is not very far from the city and it can easily be reached by taking a train.

To sum up, there is a wealth of gay oriented places in and around Barcelona and there is also the excellent and interesting annual film festival catering solely to the gay community (Gay and Lesbian film festival) that is held in Barcelona each year in the month of October.
